Shri Ravindra Kumar, Director (Operations), inaugurated a three-day training program focused on NTPC’s Net Zero Roadmap for its townships and offices. The event took place at PMI and featured notable attendees including Ms. Apurva Chaturvedi, Senior Clean Energy Specialist at USAID India, Dr. Vijay Prakash, Executive Director (SSEA), Ms. Rachana Singh Bhal, Chief General Manager (Strategic HR & Talent Management) & Head of PMI, among other dignitaries.
The Corporate Sustainable Development Department, in partnership with USAID India, is organizing this program. It is being attended by approximately sixty participants who are responsible for implementing net zero initiatives at various NTPC locations, including stations, Regional Headquarters (RHQs), and corporate functions.
This initiative is part of NTPC’s commitment to transforming its townships and offices into net zero campuses, targeting zero Scope 2 emissions and achieving Net Zero Water and Waste status.
The workshop will cover topics such as the concepts of Net Zero, relevant codes, labels, and certification systems, successful case studies, and will include a site visit to demonstrate a proof of concept.
