NHRC Secretary General, Shri Bharat Lal, highlighted the need for SHRCs to actively implement NHRC advisories and strengthen the human rights framework. Key suggestions included:
- Supporting NHRC Special Rapporteurs and Monitors in coordinating with state authorities.
- Adopting the HRCNet portal to streamline interventions and optimize resources.
- Focused Sessions:
- Session 1: Chaired by Smt. Vijaya Bharathi Sayani, this session covered strategies for effective complaint management, capacity building for SHRCs, and ideas for fostering collaboration.
