SANSDEEP KUMAR | – Tanakpur Power Station achieved a historic milestone by recording its highest-ever daily electricity generation of 2.546 million units, surpassing the previous record of 2.536 million units set on August 28, 2025.
According to station officials, the achievement reflects the dedication, discipline, and teamwork of all officers, employees, and contract staff who contributed to the station’s operations.
Rishi Ranjan Arya, head of Tanakpur Power Station, congratulated the entire workforce, noting that the new record is a testament to their consistent commitment and hard work since the plant’s commissioning.
The hydropower facility continues to play a crucial role in strengthening Uttarakhand’s energy supply and supporting India’s renewable energy goals, demonstrating the growing potential of sustainable power generation.
