Telecom Arm Reliance Jio of Reliance Industries Limited, is gearing up for its much awaited first Initial Public Offering (IPO) next year, which is expected to reopen the Indian stock market landscape. Analysts projected the JIO evaluation between ₹ 11 to ₹ 13.5 lakh crore ($ 134–154 billion) on the listing, putting it in position between the top four listed companies in India by market capitalization.
According to brokerage houses, even a modest 5% stake sales can help Jio increase Jio between ₹ 58,000 crore and Crore 67,500 crore, which exceeds the record funds of Hyundai motor in October last year. The IPO is expected to promote investor’s participation and add a lot to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) market capitalization, which potentially increased it overnight with ₹ 13 lakh crore.

With its scale, global expansion plans and strong investor base, experts believe that Jio IPO can be a game changer for Indian markets, can provide big opportunities for investors and “The upcoming IPO is expected to further strengthen India’s position in the global telecom landscape. At present, Reliance Industries holds a 66.3% stake in Jio Platforms, while Meta owns 10%, Google 7.7%, and private equity investors collectively hold around 16%. Market watchers will be closely tracking whether Jio can justify its premium valuation at the time of this historic listing.”
Meanwhile, SEBI has approved 13 other companies including 13 other companies including Urban Company, Junipar Green Energy, Allcam LifeScians, Omantech, KSH International, Ravi Infibilized Projects, Mori Tech, Priority Jewels, Corona Remed, Om Freight Forwards, Jain Resource Recycling, and Paes Digtech. “…and Pace Digitech, together aiming to collectively raise around ₹15,000 crore.”
