INDO – U.S JOINT HADR AMPHIBIOUS EXERCISE- TIGER TRIUMPH OPENING CEREMONY JOINT STATEMENT

The inaugural ceremony of Tiger Triumph 2025 was held on April 01, 2025 at the Indian Navy’s INS Jalash (L41) on 01 April 2025, the fourth version of the bilateral joint humanitarian aid and disaster relief (HADR) water -tel exercise between India and the United States. This exercise reflects the strategic maritime interests of the US-India and the increasing proximity in the defense partnership of the two countries. The current version aims to further enhance the capacity of mutual participation during HADR activities and to operate joint operations in all domes.

The port of this practice is being held in Visakhapatnam till 01-07 April 2025. This includes further refining programs launched in previous versions of Tiger Triumph along with the plan process for execution of various training programs in the sea. Additionally, the port phase will include major military activities, emergency medical reaction processes and exercises in air, sea, cyber and space areas such as training and subject matter expert exchange (SMEE) program on various commercial subjects. These exchange programs will help the armies of the two countries to share the best work systems and make strong relations. Apart from this, touring programs and visiting places of cultural importance will also be coordinated to increase harmony and develop personal relations.

The maritime phase will run from 08-12 April 2025 and during this time the armies of the two countries will work together for training for sea, water and HADR operations through the Joint Military Command and Control Center. This phase will be concluded with the establishment of a joint human relief and medical response camp after the water level landing in Kakinada.
