Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) showcased a range of indigenously developed, future-ready energy technologies during a visit by the Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Hardeep Singh Puri, to the HPCL Pavilion at India Energy Week 2026.
During the visit, the Minister interacted with several innovations developed by HPCL, highlighting India’s growing capabilities across clean energy, advanced manufacturing and energy storage. The technologies on display included Seaweed-to-Biocrude conversion, advanced 3D-printing solutions, hydrogen-based mobility applications, and indigenous lithium-ion and sodium-ion battery systems.
The exhibits reflected HPCL’s focus on developing scalable, homegrown solutions aligned with the country’s energy transition priorities and long-term sustainability goals. The engagement underscored the role of public sector energy companies in advancing innovation-led growth while strengthening domestic technology ecosystems.
HPCL stated that the visit and interactions reinforced its commitment to Atmanirbhar Bharat by accelerating indigenous research, development and deployment of emerging energy technologies. The company continues to focus on building a resilient and sustainable energy ecosystem that supports national energy security while enabling India’s transition towards cleaner and more efficient energy systems.
