The Indian Navy’s first initiative of the Indian Ocean ship Sagar (iOS Sea) concluded its port and maritime training phase in the ship with the Southern Naval Command, Kochi and its crew, left for Karwar.
44 International trainees of 09 friendly foreign countries passed through a particularly curated training capsule, from basic border activities to state -of -the -art simulator training. Really, showing the motto of ‘One Ocean One Mission’, the international crew was trained simultaneously on various aspects of communication skills, fire fighting and damage control drills, go to board search.
In addition, the international crew was also revealed by the Indian Navy’s work team for maritime training with INS Sunayna’s Indian Naval Dlav. The purpose of sea training was to influence the international crew with Indian Navy systems and procedures, which were able to weave them well during the upcoming deployment and operate them as a harmonious unit.
The iOS Sea is a unique example of promoting deep marine understanding and promoting regional stability and cooperation. Indian Navy’s cooperation with regional Navy confirms commitment to protect collective maritime interests and capacity with nations in the Indian Ocean Region (IOR).
