GAIL (India) Limited commemorated Vigilance Awareness Week 2025, reaffirming its commitment to integrity, ethics, and transparency across all levels of the organization. The central event was held at GAIL’s Corporate Office in New Delhi and joined virtually by employees from work centres across the country, reflecting the company’s inclusive and participatory culture.
Ceremony was graced by P. K. Srivastava, Central Vigilance Commissioner, as Chief Guest. Also present were Sandeep Kumar Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director; Rakesh Jain, Director (Finance); Deepak Gupta, Director (Projects); Ayush Gupta, Director (Human Resources); and Rajnesh Singh, Chief Vigilance Officer.
Event began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolising the organization’s enduring commitment to vigilance and ethical conduct. In his welcome address, Ayush Gupta, Director (Human Resources), reiterated GAIL’s dedication to transparency, ethics, and good governance — the key pillars of its corporate philosophy.
Chief Vigilance Officer Rajnesh Singh presented an overview of initiatives undertaken under a three-month Preventive Vigilance Campaign, focusing on five major areas to strengthen vigilance mechanisms across the organization.
Addressing the gathering, CMD Sandeep Kumar Gupta underscored the importance of integrity and vigilance as core organisational values, encouraging employees to make ethical conduct a way of life.
In his keynote address, Central Vigilance Commissioner P. K. Srivastava emphasised the importance of preventive vigilance and collective responsibility. He lauded GAIL’s contributions towards India’s energy security and energy transition, commending the company’s role in driving sustainable economic growth.
On the occasion, the Central Vigilance Commissioner released:
- A short film “साझा जिम्मेदारी” based on this year’s Vigilance Awareness Week theme,
- GAIL’s in-house vigilance magazine “Jagrook”, featuring employee contributions, and
- A digital compendium of vigilance case studies.
Event concluded with a vote of thanks by S. D. Sharma, CGM (Vigilance), who expressed gratitude to all participants and reiterated GAIL’s resolve to uphold the principles of honesty, fairness, and accountability.
Through initiatives like these, GAIL continues to promote a culture of ethical governance, transparency, and collective responsibility, reinforcing its vision of sustainable and responsible growth.
