GAIL (India) Limited observed Constitution Day at its Corporate Office in New Delhi with dignity and a strong sense of national responsibility, reaffirming its commitment to the constitutional principles that shape India’s democratic foundation.
The observance included a collective reading of the Preamble. The session was led in Hindi by Rakesh Kumar Jain, Director (Finance), followed by an English reading by Sanjay Kumar, Director (Marketing), reflecting unity, inclusiveness and shared constitutional values.
During the event, GAIL introduced “Legal Chronicle”, a specially compiled volume featuring articles, analyses and insights on constitutional issues and recent judicial developments. The publication was formally launched by Director (Finance) Rakesh Kumar Jain and Director (Marketing) Sanjay Kumar.
The ceremony was attended by Rajnesh Kumar Singh, Chief Vigilance Officer, and Dr. R. S. Velmurugan, Chief General Manager (HR), underscoring GAIL’s commitment to promoting constitutional awareness within the organisation.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. A. Venkatesan, GM (Law), highlighted the historical importance of Constitution Day and emphasised the enduring relevance of the Constitution in strengthening democratic values, ensuring institutional accountability and guiding organisational conduct.
The event reinforced GAIL’s focus on constitutional literacy, ethical governance and fostering a value-driven culture across its workforce.
