SANDEEP KUMAR |:- Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) Scientific Analysis Group (SAG) and Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration in Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data Analytics, and Natural Language Processing (NLP) for strategic defence applications.
The partnership aims to accelerate research in critical areas such as advanced machine translation, information retrieval, and data-driven security solutions, while providing JNU students and researchers with practical, hands-on exposure to cutting-edge defence technologies. By fostering academic-government collaboration, the initiative is expected to drive the development of indigenous technologies, supporting India’s mission of self-reliance in defence innovation.
Through this MoU, DRDO SAG and JNU will jointly undertake research projects, knowledge exchange programs, and capacity-building initiatives, creating a sustainable ecosystem for talent development in high-priority strategic technologies. The collaboration is poised to enhance national technological capabilities, promote innovation, and bridge the gap between academic research and defence applications.
