At the Indian Steel Conclave 2024 held in New Delhi today, the Indian Steel Association (ISA) awarded the prestigious ‘Gender Diversity Award’ to Dr. Dasari Radhika, Deputy General Manager (HR) at Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL). The award, presented by Sri Nagendra Nath Sinha, former Secretary of the Ministry of Steel, Government of India, was a highlight of the event, attended by numerous prominent figures from the steel industry.

With an illustrious 28-year career at RINL, Dr. Dasari Radhika has proven herself as a trailblazer in a traditionally male-dominated industry. As Deputy General Manager (HR), she has made significant strides in enhancing HR practices and has been a pioneering figure in many of her roles, becoming the first woman HR in-charge in several of her postings. Her leadership is marked by her innovative approach to employee welfare, effective industrial relations, and a strong commitment to fostering a positive workplace culture. Her efforts in psychological counseling, informed by her Master’s degree in Psychology and Ph.D. research on “Work-Life Balance,” further highlight her dedication.
The ISA’s ‘Gender Diversity Award’ recognizes Dr. Dasari Radhika for her exceptional contributions to promoting an inclusive and equitable work environment, particularly in the challenging settings of the Visakhapatnam steel plant. Her journey stands as a testament to her resilience and leadership in advancing gender diversity within the steel industry.
