Reaffirming its commitment to public healthcare under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), Ghaziabad Unit, has handed over five advanced TB detection machines and 13 microscopes to the Chief Medical Office (CMO), Chandauli, an aspirational district in Uttar Pradesh.
Mr. Vikraman N, Director (HR), BEL, and Mr. Jitendra Singh, GM (DCCS), BEL, along with the Chief Medical Officer, Chandauli, and the Additional District Magistrate (Judicial), Chandauli.
TB detection machines, equipped with modern diagnostic technology, are designed to rapidly and accurately identify tuberculosis bacteria. By reducing the time required for diagnosis and improving accuracy over conventional methods, these machines will enable early detection and timely treatment, significantly strengthening TB control efforts in the district.
Complementing these, the 13 microscopes will enhance the capabilities of frontline healthcare workers and laboratories in conducting microscopic examinations, ensuring improved visibility and confirmation of TB cases at the grassroots level.
India’s National Strategic Plan to eliminate TB by 2025. Together, the machines and microscopes will contribute to early detection, accurate monitoring, and effective containment of the disease, improving access to quality diagnostics, especially in rural and underserved communities.
