Teachers and Non-Teaching Staff Retiring This Year to be Honored
Vinoba Bhave University is honored to have the Hon’ble Governor Mr. Santosh Gangwar, universities, grace the 33rd Foundation Day celebrations 17th September 2024 as the Chief Guest. The university has received his confirmation for the event. These remarks were made by the Vice Chancellor, Mrs. Suman Catherine Kispotta, during a high-level meeting held at Aryabhatta Auditorium regarding the celebration arrangements.
The Vice Chancellor further conveyed that everyone will work together to ensure the successful organization of the Foundation Day. She encouraged all committees to fulfill their respective duties and to address any additional concerns that may arise to maintain the dignity of the university.
The meeting was conducted by Dr. Kishore Kumar Gupta, Chief Coordinator for Development and Coordination (CCDC), who discussed the tasks of the various sub-committees in detail and invited suggestions from the respective committee members.
It was informed in the meeting that the arrival of the Hon’ble Governor is expected around 10:40 a.m. at the university campus. The first event will involve offering flowers at the statue of Acharya Vinoba Bhave. Following this, the university’s NCC cadets will present a Guard of Honor. All remaining programs will take place in the Swami Vivekananda Auditorium.
A proposal was made during the meeting to ensure that all expenses follow the financial rules. It was also decided that the students will perform the university anthem and present a brief cultural program.
Professor (Dr.) Mithilesh Kumar Singh, Dean of Student Welfare, read out the list of teachers and non-teaching staff who retired in the past year. The list will be cross-checked with the pension cell to ensure that no names are missed.
Seating arrangements on stage will be made according to the approved list from Raj Bhavan. It was also decided that a fixed number of students from each department would be allowed to participate in the program, and passes will be provided if necessary.
Faculty members, including Dr. Ashok Kumar Mandal, Dr. Vinod Ranjan, and Dr. Pankaj Majhi, provided valuable suggestions during the meeting.
Dr. Rakho Hari Prasad has been appointed as the coordinator of the sub-committee handling matters related to retired colleagues. Similarly, Finance Officer Professor Surendra Kumar Kushwaha was assigned the responsibility for the invitation distribution sub-committee, Dr. Johnny Rufin Tirkey for the cultural program sub-committee, Dr. Umendra Kumar for the campus beautification sub-committee, Professor (Dr.) Mithilesh Kumar Singh for the announcement sub-committee, Dr. S.Z. Haque for the publication sub-committee, and Dr. Virendra Kumar Gupta for photography, stage decoration, stage management, and seating arrangements in the Vivekananda Auditorium. Dr. Shatrughan Kumar Pandey will oversee the statue site and press and media sub-committees, Dr. S.M. Kaiser will handle refreshments, Dr. Indrajit Kumar will manage the procurement of shawls and mementos, and Dr. Kishore Kumar Gupta will coordinate the distribution of shawls and mementos.
The University Registrar, Dr. Mohammad Mokhtar Alam, concluded the meeting with a vote of thanks.
