THINQ 2025 – The Indian Navy Quiz Returns with the Spirit of ‘MAHASAGAR’

THINQ 2025 is the Indian Navy countrywide quiz contest, returning for its fourth edition after the huge success of the earlier versions. This top-level quiz aims to ignite young minds and provide a lively platform for school students to explore India’s rich maritime history and naval prowess.

THINQ 2025 is not just a knowledge quiz — it is a salute to India’s seafaring legacy. The quiz aims to challenge intellectual curiosity, to create pride in nation, and to motivate the innovators and leaders of the future. The year 2025 is being chosen for THINQ 2025 because it aligns with the Ministry of Defence declaration of 2025 as the Year of Reforms.

The theme for the year is “MAHASAGAR”, reflecting India’s maritime journey from the ancient port town of Lothal to its increasing presence in the Indo-Pacific. It highlights the need for the ocean and promotes the culture of exploration and innovation.

Any student enrolled in Class 9 to 12 in schools in India is eligible to take part.

The contest will be conducted in a hybrid mode in four phases:

1. Online Elimination Rounds (3 Rounds)
2. Zonal Selection (Online Proctored)
3. Semifinals (Offline at INA, Ezhimala)
4. Grand Finale (Offline at INA, Ezhimala)

16 top teams will be shortlisted for the semi-finals and will fight for the prestigious THINQ-25 trophy.
