THDC India Limited (THDCIL) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) to provide specialized technical consultancy services. The MoU was signed at the NHIDCL Corporate Office, Tower A, World Trade Centre, Nauroji Nagar, New Delhi. Announcing the partnership, Shri. R. K. Vishnoi, Chairman and Managing Director of THDCIL, highlighted that THDCIL will serve as the ‘Technical Consultant’ for NHIDCL under this agreement.
As part of the collaboration, THDCIL will assess landslide-prone zones and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies for vulnerable and sinking areas along NHIDCL’s hill road projects. Their consultancy work will involve preparing detailed designs and reports, as well as offering technical oversight during the execution of stabilization measures.
The agreement was formalized by Shri. Sandeep Singhal, Executive Director (Technical) of THDCIL, and Shri. M. Riten Kumar Singh, Executive Director (Technical) of NHIDCL, in the presence of Shri. Anshu Manish Khalkho, Director (Admin & Finance) at NHIDCL. According to the MoU, THDCIL will utilize advanced technology and methodologies, combining both conventional and flexible treatment solutions to address the unique challenges of affected routes effectively. This partnership reflects the commitment of both organizations to enhance the safety of road infrastructure in hilly regions, particularly in addressing landslide risks along NHIDCL’s projects.
Also present at the event were Dr. Niraj Kumar Agrawal, AGM – Incharge, and Shri. Amit Shyam Gupta, Manager from THDCIL’s Civil Design Department, along with Shri. Ankush Mehta, GM (Technical), and Shri. Ashish Gupta, DGM (Technical) from NHIDCL.
THDCIL’s expertise in consultancy services extends to other agencies, including PWD Uttarakhand, MoRTH Dehradun, MoRTH Arunachal Pradesh, MoRTH West Bengal, NHAI Jammu & Kashmir, MoRTH Maharashtra, NHAI Pune, and NHAI Shillong. The scope of services includes slope protection, rockfall prevention, and ensuring road safety on national highways, state highways, major district roads, and key pilgrimage routes like those to Shri Mata Vaishnodevi and Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Boards.
