THDC India Limited observed Constitution Day (Samvidhan Divas) with solemnity and national pride at its Corporate Office in Rishikesh, along with all Project and Unit offices across the country.
At the Corporate Office in Ganga Bhawan, Sipan Kumar Garg, Chairman and Managing Director of THDCIL, led the ceremony by reading out the Preamble of the Constitution to employees, reaffirming the organisation’s commitment to constitutional values.
Addressing participants, he highlighted that the Constitution remains the moral foundation of the nation, and its guiding principles—justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity—must continue to inspire individuals and institutions in strengthening nation-building with integrity and dedication.
The observance marked the anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution on 26 November 1949, a historic moment that came into effect on 26 January 1950. This year’s event also coincided with the conclusion of the countrywide, year-long celebration themed “Hamara Samvidhan – Hamara Swabhiman.”
The ceremony was attended by L. P. Joshi, Chief Technical Officer; A. N. Tripathy, Chief General Manager (HR & A&CC); and employees from various departments, reflecting THDCIL’s unified respect for the Constitution and its enduring spirit.
