Tesla has officially begun on 29 September 2025, Model Y deliveries in India, marking a significant milestone in the country’s shift toward sustainable transportation. Just two months after its launch in July 2025, Tesla India has rolled out the first units of the highly anticipated electric SUV, the Tesla Model Y.
Tesla India has initiated deliveries of the Model Y to customers across the country. The company, known globally for its innovation in electric mobility, is now operational in India with Experience Centers in Mumbai and Delhi.
Tesla Model Y, the world’s best-selling electric vehicle in 2023 and 2024, is available in two variants:
- Rear-Wheel Drive with a 500 km WLTP range
- Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive offering up to 622 km WLTP range
Both trims offer a top speed of 201 km/h, and acceleration from 0–100 km/h in 5.9 seconds and 5.6 seconds, respectively.
Deliveries began on 29 September 2025, entering Q4 of 2025, as promised by Tesla earlier this year. The Long Range variant deliveries will begin soon.
Tesla vehicles are currently available at the Tesla Experience Centers:
- Mumbai: BKC, Unit G 1B, 2 North Avenue, Maker Maxity (Open daily 11 AM – 8 PM)
- Delhi: Aerocity (via Tesla App & website)
Charging infrastructure is already active in both cities.
- Mumbai (One BKC): 4 V4 Superchargers (DC) + 4 Destination Chargers (AC)
- Delhi (Aerocity): 4 V4 Superchargers (DC) + 3 Destination Chargers (AC)
Tesla drivers can locate and navigate to chargers through their vehicle’s touchscreen or the Tesla app. Battery pre-conditioning is automatically initiated en route to enhance charging efficiency.

Each new Model Y purchase includes a complimentary Wall Connector, supporting convenient home or workplace charging, enabling users to start each day with a fully charged vehicle—eliminating fuel station visits and lowering running costs.
Tesla continues to improve the ownership experience through Over-the-Air (OTA) software updates. Over 250 features were added in 2024, with 70+ more in 2025 already rolled out, enhancing everything from entertainment to safety.
