Shri M. R. Sharma has been appointed as the Managing Director of Krishak Bharati Cooperative Limited (KRIBHCO), effective from September 1, 2024. Along with this new role, he will continue serving as the Director (Technical).
A Chemical Engineering graduate from IIT Roorkee (1981), Shri Sharma brings over 42 years of experience in the fertilizer industry, particularly in ammonia and urea production. Starting his career as a Graduate Engineer Trainee at KRIBHCO in 1982, he has held various positions, including Plant Head of the Hazira Fertilizer Complex. Notably, he is the first Graduate Engineer Trainee from KRIBHCO to rise to the position of Managing Director.
Shri Sharma has been recognized for his significant contributions to the industry, including leading key projects and revamping ammonia and urea complexes to increase production capacity. In 2021, he was honored as the Outstanding CEO by the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry and was featured in The CEO Magazine.
