To promote the use of Hindi as the official language in central government offices, enterprises, and banks, the Municipal Language Implementation Committee, Shimla (Office-2), chaired by the Chairman and Managing Director of SJVN Limited, convened its semi-annual meeting today at the Corporate Headquarters of SJVN Limited, Shakti Sadan, Shanan, Shimla. The meeting was presided over by Mr. Chandrashekhar Yadav, Executive Director (Human Resources) of SJVN. Also present were Mrs. Seema Kumar, General Manager (HR/Language), along with Mr. Kumar Pal Sharma, Deputy Director (Implementation), Rajbhasha Department, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, and other members from Narakas-2, Shimla.
Addressing the meeting, Mr. Chandrashekhar Yadav emphasized the increased use of the official language in government functions. He noted that all member offices have been performing commendably and encouraged them to maintain this momentum and continue making every effort to conduct work in Hindi to the maximum extent.
During the meeting, Mrs. Seema Kumar, General Manager (HR/Language) and Member Secretary, highlighted the work done by Narakas member offices and provided a brief on the follow-up actions and programs from the previous meeting.
Senior officials from central government offices, enterprises, and banks in Shimla participated in the meeting. The discussions focused on reviewing the use of Hindi in central government offices and strategizing to achieve the targets set by the Government of India. The committee also agreed to organize various Hindi competitions and workshops.
The event was attended by heads of Narakas member offices and senior officials from SJVN.
