Gurugram, 24 March 2025: REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (ReCPDCL), which is a Maharatna CPSU under REC Limited’s fully owned subsidiary and Ministry of Electricity, has a Maharatna CPSU, under the ISTS Transmission Project Special Purpose Vehicles (SPV) – Ratle Kiru Power Transmission Limited – K. Indigrid Limited 2 Private Limited. Transferred. The transfer concluded on 24 March 2025 in Gurugram.
Indigrid 2 Private Limited was selected as a transmission service provider (TSP) through the Tariff-based competitive bid (TBCB) process, which RECPDCL operated as the bidding process coordinator. The project will be developed on a build, on, operate and transfer basis, whose implementation period will be 24 months.
The transfer ceremony was chaired by Mr. T.S.C. Bosh, CEO, RECPDCL, who formally handed over SPV to Mr. Puneet Singh Chauhan, Vice President and Head (Commercial), Indigrid 2 Private Limited. RECPDCL, Indigrid 2 Private Limited and senior officials of Central Transmission YouTility of India Limited were present in the program.
The project includes a 150 km long 400 KV transmission line between Samba in Jammu and Kashmir to Jalandhar in Punjab and a 35 km long 400 KV line from Kishanpur (Jammu and Kashmir) to Samba, as well as other related works will be done. The total estimated cost of the project is around ₹ 1,407.44 crore.
This strategic development strengthens RECPDCL’s commitment to upgrade India’s power infrastructure, ensuring a reliable and efficient transmission system throughout the region.
