PVUNL joined the nationwide festivities for NTPC’s 50th anniversary, marking five decades of dedication to India’s growth as a premier power producer. As NTPC celebrates 50 years of powering India with a commitment to innovation in safety and environmental stewardship. Addressing the public, CMD Shri Gurdeep Singh expressed gratitude to past CMDs for their contributions. Now ranked 3rd in mining and renewables, NTPC reached a record 200 BU in power generation and plans to add 5 GW capacity, with 3 GW from renewables. The Vindhyachal methanol plant demonstrates cutting-edge advancements, while the upcoming NGEL IPO marks a significant milestone as the first PSU subsidiary to list. NTPC’s coal output rose by 22%, targeting 25% self-reliant coal supply by 2027. With a strong focus on safety, AI, cybersecurity, and zero waste, NTPC is also prioritizing proactive PR and HR strategies to meet the rising energy needs and sustainability goals. The grand celebration at PVUNL Patratu gathered CEO Shri R.K. Singh, GMs, senior officials, employees, and their families, united in honoring NTPC’s journey from its founding in 1975 to becoming India’s leading power utility.
The event began with a warm welcome and the ceremonial flag unfurling by CEO Shri R.K. Singh, symbolizing NTPC’s commitment to excellence and integrity. Shri Singh also inspected the guard of honor, underscoring NTPC’s values of service and resilience. In his address, Shri Singh highlighted NTPC’s achievements in energy production, environmental stewardship, and community welfare, expressing pride in PVUNL’s role in these successes and its impact on the Patratu region’s development.
The celebrations continued with a cake-cutting ceremony and balloon release, reflecting NTPC’s inspiring journey. Furthering PVUNL’s growth, the CEO inaugurated the new O&M Office building and Chemistry Lab, both expected to enhance operational efficiency and sustainability.
The event concluded with a collective commitment to NTPC’s mission of a sustainable future for India, with PVUNL Patratu set to advance NTPC’s legacy of excellence in the years ahead.
