Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) has been conferred the first prize in the Swachhata Pakhwada Award 2025, recognizing its outstanding efforts in promoting cleanliness and sustainability. The award was presented by Pankaj Agarwal, Secretary (Power), Government of India, during a ceremony held at the Ministry of Power.
The award was received on behalf of POWERGRID by R. K. Tyagi, Chairman and Managing Director, and Dr. Yatindra Dwivedi, Director (Personnel). The event was also attended by senior dignitaries including Piyush Singh, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Power, Dr. D. Sai Baba, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Power, and M. Q. Huda, Executive Director (Administration), POWERGRID, along with officials from the Ministry of Power and POWERGRID.
The ceremony honored organizations that demonstrated exemplary commitment to the Swachhata Pakhwada initiative, which is part of the Government of India’s wider mission to promote cleanliness, hygiene, and sustainable practices across public sector enterprises.
The award function took place at the Ministry of Power, New Delhi, as part of the 2025 edition of Swachhata Pakhwada.
POWERGRID’s recognition underscores its leadership in driving corporate social responsibility, environmental sustainability, and employee engagement, in alignment with the national vision of a cleaner and greener India.
