New Delhi, August 2025 – Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Vardhman Mahavir Medical College (VMMC) & Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi to provide seven state-of-the-art medical equipment under its CSR initiative. The equipment will significantly benefit patients of the urology and renal departments, strengthening healthcare services with a focus on inclusive language and patient-centric growth.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Dr. Yatindra Dwivedi, Director (Personnel), POWERGRID; Dr. (Prof.) Sandeep Bansal, Director, VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital; Dr. Charu Bamba, MS, VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital; and Shri Jasbir Singh, Executive Director (CSR), POWERGRID; along with senior officials from both POWERGRID and VMMC.
Provision of 7 advanced medical equipment for the Urology and Renal Departments under CSR, enhancing diagnostic and treatment facilities for patients. The MoU signing ceremony took place in August 2025. VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi.
The initiative is aimed at improving public healthcare infrastructure, ensuring that patients from all walks of life, especially marginalized communities, benefit from modern medical technology in line with POWERGRID’s CSR vision of inclusivity.
Through its CSR programme, POWERGRID will fund and facilitate the procurement of these advanced machines, while VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital will utilize them to provide enhanced healthcare services. The partnership underscores inclusive language in healthcare delivery, ensuring no patient is left behind.
