Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, has honoured Power Grid Corporation of India Limited with the prestigious Rajbhasha Kirti First Prize for the financial year 2024–25 in the ‘A’ category.
The award was presented on Hindi Diwas by Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah and Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel to Power Grid Chairman & Managing Director R. K. Tyagi during a ceremony held in Ahmedabad.
This national recognition highlights Power Grid’s outstanding efforts to promote and implement the use of Hindi in official work. The company earned the top honour for consistently integrating Hindi into administrative processes, conducting training, and encouraging innovative practices to strengthen the official language across all operations.
By receiving the Rajbhasha Kirti First Prize, Power Grid reaffirms its commitment to inclusive language practices and to advancing Hindi as a vital medium in governance and public communication.
