On this memorandum, Honorable Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Mohan Yadav, Additional Chief Secretary (Energy) Mr. Neeraj Mandloi, IAS, Managing Director of MPPMCL, Mr. Avinash Lavania, IAS, Executive Director (Projects) of PFC, Mr. R.K. Chaturvedi and senior officials of MPPMCL and PFC were present.
Power Finance Corporation (PFC) said on Thursday that it has made an initial agreement to provide a finance of Rs 26,800 crore to Madhya Pradesh power companies.
PFC said in a statement that this funding will support capital expenditure projects for institutions like Madhya Pradesh Power Generation Company Limited (MPPGCL), Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company Limited (MPPTCL) and Madhya Pradesh Discom (distribution companies).
Financial assistance will be directed to important infrastructure projects, including development of new supercratical thermal units, renewal and modernization of solar power plants, hydroelectric stations, power extraction networks, smart metering and loss distribution sector scheme (RDSS).
The PFC said that this partnership underlines the commitment of India’s energy infrastructure development and the commitment to the country’s contribution to a developed economy.
