In a milestone achievement for a Central Public Sector Enterprise, ONGC has signed a long-term Ethane Unloading, Storage and Handling (USH) Services Agreement with Petronet LNG Limited (PLL), marking a first-of-its-kind partnership in India’s energy sector.
Under the agreement, PLL will manage 600 KTPA of Ethane terminalling and handling at its upcoming Dahej facilities, enabling a dedicated and streamlined supply chain for imported Ethane.
The collaboration is expected to enhance India’s Ethane import infrastructure, secure long-term feedstock supply for OPaL’s petrochemical complex in Dahej, and strengthen the availability of cost-effective petrochemicals for domestic industries.
ONGC stated that the agreement reinforces its ongoing transition into an integrated energy major, expanding its footprint across the global energy value chain while supporting India’s long-term petrochemical and manufacturing ambitions.
