Energy public sector enterprises ONGC and Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at India Energy Week 2026 to explore potential technical collaboration and assess partnership opportunities in upcoming oil and gas exploration bid rounds.
The MoU aims to enhance cooperation between the two organisations by leveraging technical expertise, operational strengths, and shared resources in India’s upstream energy sector. The collaboration is expected to support efficient exploration activities and contribute to strengthening the country’s long-term energy security.
The agreement was signed in the presence of ONGC Director (Strategy & Corporate Affairs) Arunangshu Sarkar, ONGC Director (Exploration) O. P. Sinha, and IOCL Executive Director (Exploration & Production) A. K. Tiwari, highlighting a shared commitment to synergy, knowledge-sharing, and strategic alignment.
