NTPC, along with its subsidiary NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), signed a memorandum with the Government of Madhya Pradesh during the Global Investor Summit in Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh, Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and CMD Shri. Gurdeep Singh and other senior officials of Madhya Pradesh and other senior officials of NTPC were present on the occasion.
The first MoU signed to set up renewable energy projects up to Rs 20 from Rs 1,20,000 crore from NGEL and Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company Limited (MPPGCL).
• The second MoU was signed for other permanent non-live fuel power plants between NTPC Limited and the Government of Madhya Pradesh with an investment of Rs 80,000 crore.
• An agreement was also signed between the government. Agreement between Madhya Pradesh and NTPC is related to the intention of investment of Rs 4,000 crore in the establishment of an 800 MW pump hydro storage project in the state.
