New Delhi, 2025: The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) held a high-level meeting with senior officials from the India Meteorological Department (IMD) to explore opportunities for integrating advanced weather-related technology into National Highway development and maintenance.
The meeting, chaired by NHAI Chairman Santosh Kumar Yadav, focused on leveraging meteorological data and analytics to improve planning, construction, and operational efficiency of National Highways. Discussions emphasized the use of weather intelligence for proactive risk management, reducing accident risks, and enhancing road user safety across diverse climatic conditions.
