National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has been honoured with the prestigious Gold Award for cybersecurity innovation at the National Awards for e-Governance 2025. The recognition was conferred under the category “Best e-Governance Practices/Innovation in Cybersecurity” during the 28th National Conference on e-Governance, organised by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, Government of India.
NCRTC received the Gold Award for integrating a pioneering digital security framework into the Namo Bharat project, India’s first regional rail corridor. Along with the award, NCRTC was presented a cash prize of ₹10 lakh. The award was conferred by Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science & Technology and Earth Sciences, at a ceremony in Visakhapatnam.
The recognition celebrates NCRTC’s forward-looking approach to embedding cybersecurity as a core foundation in its transport infrastructure. By securing both commuter-facing services such as ticketing apps and mission-critical operational technologies like signalling, SCADA, and LTE networks, NCRTC has demonstrated leadership in creating a safe, reliable, and digitally secure mobility system.
