The 9th edition of the National PSU Summit 2026 was successfully organized in New Delhi on 19th June 2026. This important event brought together top government officials, PSU leaders, and industry experts to discuss the future of Public Sector Undertakings in India.
The main theme of the summit was “Building Bharat @ Scale”. Speakers highlighted that PSUs are not just government companies but strategic institutions that will play a big role in India’s economic and technological growth till 2047.
- Uttar Pradesh government presented strong investment plans for PSUs. They are offering fast clearances, land support, and friendly policies especially in renewable energy, green hydrogen, and infrastructure projects.
- Many PSUs shared their success in green energy. NTPC, NHPC, and Coal India announced big solar and hydro power projects.
- The government emphasized skill development, digital transformation, and better corporate governance in all PSUs.
- Discussions were held on increasing exports and reducing dependence on imports through Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives.
Experts said that PSUs should focus on three major areas – Energy Security, Infrastructure Development, and Critical Minerals. The summit also discussed how PSUs can work together with private companies for faster growth.
This summit has given a clear message that the Government of India is fully supporting PSUs and wants them to become globally competitive.
