The Ministry of Coal successfully organized a Roadshow on February 19, 2025, in Kolkata to discuss “Opportunities in the Coal Sector & Commercial Coal Mine Auctions.” The event, which was attended by industry leaders, investors, and stakeholders, aimed to highlight the government’s progressive reforms and transparent policies in the coal sector.
Shri Vikram Dev Dutt, Secretary of the Ministry of Coal, delivered a keynote address, emphasizing the Ministry’s vision to unlock the potential of India’s coal resources. He highlighted ongoing reforms fostering sustainable growth and collaboration with various state governments and ministries to ensure efficient approvals and logistical support.
Ms. Rupinder Brar, Additional Secretary and Nominated Authority, assured investors that the Ministry is committed to providing a seamless investment process. She highlighted the government’s focus on promoting coal gasification, underground mining, and minimizing environmental impact.
