MeitY Launches Digital Brand Identity Manual (DBIM) to Enhance India’s Digital Governance

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) launched the Digital Brand Identity Manual (DBIM) and hosted the first Chief Information Officer (CIO) Conference 2025 in New Delhi on February 19. The event, aimed at harmonizing the government’s digital presence, was co-chaired by Shri Jitin Prasada, Union Minister of State for Electronics & IT, and Shri S. Krishnan, Secretary, MeitY.

Shri Prasada emphasized that DBIM aligns with the Prime Minister’s vision of “Reform, Perform, and Transform”, ensuring accessible, inclusive, and citizen-centric digital governance. The manual will standardize government websites, streamline communication, and improve transparency through the Central Content Publishing System (CCPS).

Key features of DBIM include:

A toolkit for a uniform digital identity.
Gov.In CMS for efficient website management.
Social media guidelines for consistent messaging.

The CIO Conference 2025 also addressed the implementation of DBIM, focusing on harmonizing government websites, optimizing digital services, and ensuring accessibility. The initiative is set to strengthen India’s e-governance ecosystem and transform service delivery across ministries, contributing to the vision of a “Viksit Bharat” by 2047.
