Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority (IEPFA) Organises “Niveshak Shivir” in Hyderabad today

Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority (IEPFA), under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, organized a one -day “investor Shivar” in Haryana Bhavan, Secunderabad today, in collaboration with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).

The initiative designed as a single-window facility camp provided to investors with on-the-spot grievances redressal, well-organized claim settlements and increased financial literacy.

The incident was inaugurated in the presence of Mrs. Anita Shah Akilla, CEO of IEPFA and Joint Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs; Shri Jeevan Sonparote and Mr. Sunil Jaywant Kadam, Executive Director of SEBI; Lieutenant Colonel Aditya Sinha, General Manager, IEPFA; Mr. Binod Sharma, General Manager, SEBI; Market Infrastructure Institutions (MII), with senior officers of Registrar

More than 360 contenders actively participated in the camp, which facilitated the solution of unclaimed dividend accounts pending for more than six years, updated the KYC and enrollment details, and addressed the IEPFA claim issues for a long time. The dedicated kiosks dedicated by RTAs and companies allowed investors to interact directly with officials, eliminate middlemen, and usually accelerate the processes that took months.

Apart from grievance redressal, the financial literacy session educated the participants on safe investment and prevention of fraud. By adding further value, CDSL launched an investor to assist service for Query Resolution. The event also spotted a national online poster -making competition, ARTH Chitra under IEPFA’s Kushal Investor Investor, which encouraged citizens to express concepts such as creative savings, budget and financial planning.

Hyderabad became the second city to host the initiative after its successful pilot in Pune earlier this year. With this, IEPFA confirmed its commitment to the creation of a transparent, investor-centric financial ecosystem.

“Nivid camps are part of our nationwide outreach to protect financial interests and spread awareness about the rights. Hyderabad’s huge response reflects the growing need of such facility camps across India,” said an IEPFA official said.

The authority confirmed that similar outreach programs would be rolled out with high versions of unclaimed investment in other cities.
