GAIL (India) Limited was honored with the ‘Breakthrough Renewable Energy Project of the Year’ Award at the Downstream India Excellence Awards 2024 ceremony, held during the Global Refining & Petrochemicals Congress 2024 on June 27, 2024, in New Delhi.
Shri Ayush Gupta, Director (HR), GAIL, and Shri D S Divekar, CGM (O&M), GAIL, accepted the award.
The accolade recognizes GAIL’s pioneering Green Hydrogen Plant at GAIL Vijaipur, Madhya Pradesh, which boasts a capacity of producing 4.3 TPD of hydrogen using 10MW PEM (Proton Exchange Membrane) electrolyzer units. This innovative plant utilizes renewable power to perform water electrolysis.
