The Indian Army Director General Military Operations (DGMO) Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai made 24 more to get information about the development of the development of the India-Myanmar border (IMB) and the development of the border infrastructure in the state. Visited Manipur on 25 February 2025.
During his visit, Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai met Honorable Governor of Manipur, Mr. Ajay Kumar Bhalla, State Security Advisor, Chief Secretary of Manipur and Director General of Police of Manipur. The DGMO focused on the operational preparations of the Indian Army, assessing the security status on the Indo-Myanmar border (IMB) and the current security dynamics in the state including the marginal regions. He also emphasized the ‘entire government approach’ during a conversation with prominent stakeholders. The discussion focused on normalizing the existing security situation in the state, especially the need to increase border management and strengthen security infrastructure with IMB. Lieutenant General Ghai’s visit highlighted the cooperative approach between military and state officials to implement strategic initiatives aimed at promoting the welfare and stability of the people of Manipur.
