Sh. Vivek Kumar Dewangan, IAS, CMD of REC, chaired a session titled “Financing Green Hydrogen: Bridging the Cost Gap” at the International Conference on Green Hydrogen 2024, held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
In his opening remarks, Sh. Dewangan emphasized the Government of India’s ambitious goal to position the country as a global leader in green hydrogen through the National Green Hydrogen Mission.
He also highlighted REC’s commitment to advancing renewable energy projects, particularly in green hydrogen and green ammonia. Last year, REC signed MoUs for financing green hydrogen and ammonia projects with Acme and Avaada Group, amounting to ₹16,000 crore and ₹15,000 crore, respectively, for developments in Odisha.
