Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) Sets New Benchmarks in FY 2024-25

Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL), who is an important subsidiary of Coal India Limited (CIL), has performed unprecedented in FY 2024-25. With record -breaking achievements in coal production, financial success, stability and social responsibility, BCCL has re -established its major role in India’s coal field.


BCCL recorded the highest coal production (11.44 million tonnes) and overburdan (181.30 million cubic meters), while acquiring the second highest annual coal production (40.50 million tonnes) despite heavy rains. Additionally, coal production started in NTST-Kujma, Lodhana region in Mine Developer and Operator (MDO) mode.


BCCL paid the first dividend of ₹ 44.43 crore to CIL in August 2024 and ended its accumulated losses. The company completed the CAPEX target of ₹ 1,100 crore, while GEM shopping reached ₹ 4,155.83 crore, which is 136% higher than the target.


BCCL broke its washery record, supplied 56 lakh tonnes of raw coal and provided 17.02 lakh tonnes of coal to the steel area. In addition, BCCL leased Dugdha Wasri for ₹ 762 crore for 25 years under India’s first coal washery mood.


The BCCL has taken important steps towards achieving the net zero goals, including the installation of solar energy on the 4.088 MWP roof and the use of e-vehicles. In addition, 100% LED lighting and energy-efficient AC have been installed under energy efficiency measures.

BCCL has touched new heights in the coal industry by its stability, production capacity and digital change in FY 2024-25.
