The BEML Ltd. family celebrated the 78th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and vibrant colors. At the Bangalore complex, where Vande Bharat Sleeper trains are manufactured, our CMD, Shri Shantanu Roy, hoisted the tricolor and addressed employees and their families. He was warmly welcomed by Shri Sanjay Som, chief of the Bangalore complex, and senior BEML officials, along with Smt. Piyali Roy, President of the BEML Women’s Welfare Forum.
In his speech, Shri Shantanu Roy expressed heartfelt gratitude to the freedom fighters who secured our independence. He urged everyone to draw inspiration from their courage to reach new milestones and bring honor to our nation. He stressed the importance of unity in diversity and our collective commitment to building a prosperous and inclusive India.
Shri Roy also highlighted BEML’s recent achievements, which embody the spirit of Aatma Nirbhar Bharat and reflect the nation’s journey of innovation and growth. Notable accomplishments include the launch of India’s first indigenously developed 1500 HP engine for new-generation main battle tanks at the Mysore complex, the introduction of the groundbreaking electric rope shovel model BRS21 at the KGF complex, and the near completion of the first prototype of the Vande Bharat Sleeper train. These milestones showcase the dedication and expertise of every member of the BEML family.
