Strategic Review & Planning Meet (SRPM) of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) was held at Vigyan Bhawan to assess the organisation’s growth strategy and future direction in a rapidly evolving telecom landscape.
Union Minister for Communications, along with the Minister of State for Communications and the Telecom Secretary. The review was attended by the BSNL Chairman and Managing Director, Board Members, Chief General Managers from telecom circles across the country, and senior leadership.
The review meeting was conducted recently as part of the government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen public sector telecom services.
The objective of the SRPM was to evaluate BSNL’s current performance, identify challenges affecting operations, and outline clear, time-bound measures to improve competitiveness and service delivery in the Indian telecom sector.
Discussions focused on key performance indicators (KPIs), resolution of operational bottlenecks, and implementation of actionable reforms. Emphasis was placed on improving efficiency, enhancing customer experience, and aligning organisational priorities with national digital connectivity goals.
The Strategic Review & Planning Meet reaffirmed the collective commitment of leadership and stakeholders to position BSNL as a strong, inclusive, and competitive telecom service provider, capable of meeting the connectivity needs of citizens across urban and rural India.
