Dr. Ankur Barua took charge of the post of Human Resource (Director-HR) on 16 April 2025 in the Maharatna Public Sector Undertaking Tel India Limited (OIL) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India.
Earlier, Dr. Barua was employed as Executive Director (HR) in Oil. With excellent experience and leadership of more than 30 years in the field of human resource management, they have come forward to fulfill this new responsibility.
Dr. Barua has received MBA in Human Resources and PHD in business administration. They are certified in IPMA Project Management and recognized in psychometric testing. Their work experience includes important areas such as Manavabal Yojana, talent selection, performance management, stakeholding engagement and change management.
In Oil, Dr. Barua implemented many innovative HR policies, which strengthened the company’s image as a superior and inclusive workplace. He has impressed HR initiatives with commercial goals, which has strengthened the developing and flexible culture of the organization.
Dr. Barua has represented Oil on national and international forums and has received many prestigious honors like Most Iconic HR Leader, Topmost HR Leader in Asia and HR Excellence Award.
