Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a telephone conversation with Mr. Alexander De Croo, the Prime Minister of Belgium.

During their discussion, PM Modi conveyed his congratulations to PM De Croo for the successful organization of the inaugural Nuclear Energy Summit held in Brussels.

The two leaders evaluated the strong ties between India and Belgium and explored opportunities to further enhance bilateral cooperation across various sectors such as commerce, investment, sustainable technologies, semiconductor industry, pharmaceuticals, renewable energy, information technology, defense, maritime ports, among others.

Both leaders reiterated their commitment to bolstering the India-EU Strategic Partnership, especially during Belgium’s current term as the President of the Council of the European Union.

They exchanged views on regional and global developments, concurring on the importance of enhancing collaboration and support for the prompt restoration of peace and stability in the West Asia region and addressing the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict.

Agreeing to stay in regular communication, the two leaders emphasized their dedication to ongoing dialogue and cooperation.
