During this joyful period of Holi celebrations, Indian Railways has announced the operation of 540 services thus far, aiming to facilitate seamless and comfortable journeys for passengers. Emphasis is being placed on managing crowds effectively at key stations. These trains are strategically scheduled to connect major destinations nationwide along railway routes. Notably, there’s an increase of 219 services compared to the previous year for this festive occasion. Throughout this ongoing Holi season, Indian Railways is dedicated to providing convenience to travelers and managing the additional influx of passengers by operating 540 train services. These services are designed to link crucial destinations such as Delhi-Patna, Delhi-Bhagalpur, Delhi-Muzaffarpur, Delhi-Saharsa, Gorakhpur-Mumbai, Kolkata-Puri, Guwahati-Ranchi, New Delhi-Sri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, Jaipur-Bandra Terminus, Pune-Danapur, Durg-Patna, Barauni-Surat, among others. To ensure orderly boarding in unreserved coaches, crowd control measures including queuing systems supervised by Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel are in place at terminus stations. Additional RPF personnel have been deployed at major stations to enhance passenger security, while officers are on standby for emergency duties to ensure smooth train operations. Staff are stationed in various sections to promptly address any disruptions to train services. Additionally, efforts are made for timely announcements of train arrivals/departures with platform details.
